Mr Fritz Summer was employed between 1985 and 2001 by Hochland AG, a major European food producing group with a turn-over of 1.1 Billion Euros, with over 5,000 employees and operations in 10 countries. The positions held by Mr Summer at Hochland include that of Chief Accountant (from 1985 to 1991) and Chief Finance Officer (from 1992 to 2000). He is currently a non-executive Director and General Partner at Hochland.

Mr Summer, who is a qualified and article-served Chartered Account and Senior Auditor, has previously held senior positions in the Forward Trust Group and at Arthur Andersen and Co. In 1991 he was awarded Fellowship of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.

Mr Summer lives in Swansea and is an alumnus of the University, having graduated in Economics here in 1977. He assists (on a non-remunerated basis) with the delivery of a number of postgraduate programmes in the College of Business, Economics and Law. He is Treasurer of Swansea University Council, Chair of the Finance Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee and the Investments Sub-Committee.
