Where will I live?

As a new student, you will have the option to apply to live in the newly-built student accommodation on the Bay Campus, or at other Swansea University residences, including those on the Singleton Park Campus. See the comprehensive guide to applying for accommodation:

What is there to do at the Bay Campus when I’m not studying?

Choose from a variety of places to eat, meet for coffee and enjoy a drink with friends, alongside shops and facilities including a mini market, laundrette and cash points. The impressive Great Hall will provide a beautiful space for the University to host music concerts, exhibitions and other large events, with the capacity to host events for up to 800 people. A range of sporting and recreational facilities will also be based at the Bay Campus, which will complement the fantastic services already available at Singleton Park Campus. In addition, the bars, restaurants, hotels and cafes of SA1 and Swansea Marina are within a few miles, just before the city centre, and easily accessible by bus day and night. Is Swansea a safe place to live?

The 2012 Complete University Guide ranked Swansea as the fifth safest place to live in the UK. Even so, the University is committed to providing a safe learning and social environment for its staff and students. There is a police officer based on Singleton campus and a new Police Community Support Officer on hand to advise on crime prevention.
